Finding the Right Equipment

Our platform is meticulously designed to connect you directly with verified equipment owners in your immediate vicinity. Here is how to find exactly what you need:

  • Smart Search: On the homepage, enter a Keyword (e.g., "JCB", "Crane") and your Location. As you type your city or pincode, the system will suggest valid areas to ensure pinpoint GPS accuracy.
  • Set Your Timing & Duration: You can search for equipment needed ASAP or Schedule it for a future date. You may select your required duration in Hours, Days, Weeks, or Months.
  • Distance Warnings: If you search for equipment located more than 50km from our main serving hub, the system will actively warn you that transport costs may be higher.
  • Live Availability: To save you time, search results automatically filter out equipment that is currently marked as "Rented" or under "Maintenance."

Booking a Machine (No Upfront Payment)

Booking on ShortRent.in is instant, transparent, and secure. You deal directly with the supplier without any hidden platform fees.

  • Review Details: Click on any equipment to see high-quality photos, specific pricing tiers, the partner's terms, and scope responsibilities (e.g., who provides the fuel, who arranges transport).
  • Select Exact Duration: Enter your precise rental time. Please note our platform standards for calculation:
    1 Day = 8 Hours (Max input: 31 Days)
    1 Week = 48 Hours (Max input: 5 Weeks)
    1 Month = 26 Days (Max input: 3 Months)
    Note: The system will automatically enforce these maximum limits as well as the partner's required minimum booking duration.
  • Confirm Booking: Enter your Name, a valid 10-digit Phone Number, and your Email, along with the actual construction site address. You do not need to enter credit card details or pay anything online to place the request.

What Happens Next?

Once you click confirm, the process moves swiftly into the hands of the equipment owner.

  • Instant Notifications: Once the equipment partner accepts your request from their dashboard, you will immediately receive an automated Booking Confirmation Email containing your complete order summary.
  • Direct Communication: Shortly after acceptance, the partner will reach out to you directly via WhatsApp or a phone call. They will share the final detailed estimate (including specific transport fees and advance payment requirements) and coordinate the delivery logistics with your site manager.

Using Your Dashboard

If you created an account during checkout or logged in beforehand, you have full access to your personal dashboard to manage your rental operations.

  • Booking History: View your Pending, Confirmed, Completed, and Cancelled bookings all in one centralized location.
  • Download Invoices: For any confirmed booking, simply click the "Bill" button to instantly generate and download a professional PDF invoice for your accounting team.
  • Manage Profile: Keep your Company Name, GST Number, and Billing Address consistently updated in your profile so your generated invoices are always legally accurate.
